CE-Go Pro: How to Leverage Evaluation Data for Better Attendee Engagement

Evaluations are a standard part of continuing education training, typically requesting feedback from attendees about the delivery of the content and overall training experience. While it’s important to maintain data and feedback about a training, evaluations are an easily overlooked tool for better connecting with your audience. If you haven’t been customizing your CE-Go evaluations, you may be missing out on a great opportunity to learn more about your attendees and how to better meet their needs.

Navigating CE-Go Evaluations

Evaluations consist of two parts: the Event Evaluation, which asks questions relevant to the overall event, and the Session Evaluation, which asks questions about each educational session, and by default will ask questions about and learning objectives and specific presenters you have associated with that session.

  • If you are hosting a multi-session event, such as a conference, or multi-day training, participants will be invited to complete a Session Evaluation for each individual session offering CE credits for which they attended, and an Event Evaluation after all sessions have completed, on their Attendee Dashboard.
  • If you are hosting a single-session event, the Event Evaluation and Session Evaluations will be combined into one Evaluation form on the Attendee Dashboard. For more information see The Attendee Experience.

Customizing Your Evaluations

By customizing your evaluations beyond the required questions, you have an opportunity to understand your audience better and find more meaningful ways to connect with them. For example, to better tailor your outreach campaigns, as well as understanding what other services would be valuable to that audience.

When crafting your next CE event, consider adding some of the following custom questions to learn more about your audience:

Understanding your Audience Needs

  • What topics or trends would you like to see in future CE events?
  • How do you prefer to receive CE credits?
  • Are there any presenters or experts would you be interested in learning from?

Understanding your Audience Background

  • How many years have you been in practice?
  • Are you actively seeing clients?
  • What best describes your current work? Agency based or Private practice?

Understanding Audience Motivation

  • What is your primary reason for registering for this event?
  • What is your area of expertise?
  • What best describes your client load?
